Some love stories begin with a chance meeting. Ours began in a high school gym class.

In the spring of 1998, Michael and Stacey first met while attending Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs. What started as a friendship grew into a lasting connection. Although life eventually took them in different directions, they stayed in touch over the years, reconnecting from time to time as their lives unfolded.

Then, in the spring of 2022, everything changed.

After Michael moved back home to Colorado Springs, the two began spending more time together. Their friendship quickly blossomed into something more, and by October 2022, they officially began dating.

Over the following year, they shared countless adventures, created unforgettable memories, and realized they had found the person they wanted to spend forever with. In December 2023, Michael asked Stacey to marry him, and to his delight, she said, “Yes!”

On October 9, 2027, they will begin their next chapter together as husband and wife while also celebrating five wonderful years as a couple. What started as a friendship nearly three decades ago has become a story of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. They are incredibly grateful for the family and friends who have supported them and can’t wait to celebrate this special day together.
